Half a century of technological leadership in the feeder sector – Chemex Foundry Solutions GmbH, a subsidiary of the HA Group, is celebrating this proud anniversary.

From its beginnings in 1974 to its current technical solutions, the company can look back on an impressive success story. Starting out as a supplier to Friedrich-Carl-Hütte in Delligsen, Germany also known as ‘Carlshütte’, the former Chemex GmbH has developed into a leading specialist for feeding technology under the umbrella of Hüttenes-Albertus. Originally focussing on chemical metallurgical products, the company has continuously expanded its portfolio over the years thanks to increasing demand.

Particularly at the beginning of the new millennium, the innovative strength was demonstrated by the introduction of modern cold box feeders and the development of the patented tele-feeder. Since 2004, production has been carried out exclusively in Delligsen, although a fire in 2008 destroyed large parts of the plant. However, Chemex demonstrated great stamina and mastered the reconstruction by 2010.

The success story also continued internationally, with the expansion of production facilities in Turkey, China and the USA as well as ongoing projects in emerging markets. Meanwhile, the German site in Delligsen is one of the most modern food production centres in the world and was officially renamed Chemex Foundry Solutions GmbH in 2018.

In addition to technical development and continuous research, a large part of the success of the last five decades can also be attributed to the expertise and support of the employees. Chemex GmbH is a wholly-owned affiliate of Hüttenes-Albertus Chemische Werke GmbH.
