In the February 2024 issue of Castings SA we reported that engineering steel merchant and value-added processing company Special Steels had announced that it had acquired Harchris Heat Treatment so as to increase its range of value-added services for existing and new clients. This is factually incorrect reporting and we apologise for any confusion caused in the industry. Special Steels has not acquired Harchris Heat Treatment.

Special Steels is indeed a client of Harchris Heat Treatment and has been so for many years. The two companies continue to have a strong commercial relationship.
