Established in 1985 to specialise in casting pump bodies and impellers the company even took its name from the industry – Pump Casting Specialists. However, the name was changed to PCS Foundry because of the limitations associated with the name and management’s desire to expand into supplying castings into other industries so as not be regarded as just a jobbing foundry.

PCS Foundry has more than 30-years’ experience as a supplier of stainless steel, ferrous and non-ferrous metals castings. The company is committed to providing customers with the best possible combination of service and quality products at competitive prices. It is recognised for its ability to adhere to strict lead times as part of its effort to integrate into the value chains of individual customers.

These service levels are made possible through an ongoing continuous improvement programme aimed at delivering world-class castings through a sales force that speaks the language of customers which have a global competitive focus.

The PCS Foundry operation, with an under-roof floor capacity of 8 000 m², is located east of Johannesburg in Brakpan with easy access to the road transportation network. This, with a team comprising of some of the most experienced people within the industry, makes for a near-at-hand South African company which understands the needs of its customer, and can deliver on its promise.

PCS Foundry supports diversity and inclusion in line with the objectives of Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE). It is an A-status Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) contributor with a 100% recognition level, and has a Level 3 contributor status in terms of the BEE scorecard.
