Takalani Madzivhandila has taken over from Enno Krueger as President of the South African Institute of Foundrymen (SAIF), for the next two years. Krueger completed his term according to constitutional rules and handed over to Madzivhandila at the Institute’s AGM which took place on 13 May 2014 and was attended by 50 members and guests.
The existing council members were re-elected to serve the institute for 2014/2015, with the following additional members, Adrie El Mohamadi, Colin Smit, Cyprian Kyalu, Dalmari McQueen and Joshua van Flyman, being added.
Janley Kotze was elected to serve as the Vice President for the next two years.
Madzivhandila is currently the Operations Manager at the Metal Casting Technology Station, University of Johannesburg and has served as the Vice President of the SAIF for the last two years. Kotze has been a member of the SAIF council for a number of years.
