As discussions continue around policies affecting the recycling sector, it is important that the long-term sustainability of the entire value chain remains a priority. This includes recognising the contribution of informal collectors, who are often the first link in the recycling chain and play a vital role in diverting recyclable metals away from landfill. Equally important is creating a regulatory environment that enables businesses of all sizes to participate and invest with confidence.
