New directors added to Board of SAIF

Current Chairperson Nigel Pardoe has stepped down as Chairperson and Director but will remain available to attend Directors’ meetings for an interim short period for the handing over to the new Chairperson.

The South African Institute of Foundrymen (SAIF) held its 2025 Annual General Meeting on 20 May 2025 where besides the normal course of business proceedings of an AGM the members also took the opportunity to appoint new directors to the SAIF board.

Current Chairperson Nigel Pardoe has stepped down as Chairperson and Director but will remain available to attend Directors’ meetings for an interim short period for the handing over to the new Chairperson. At the time of this publication being published, a new Chairperson had not been announced. The Chairperson and Vice Chairperson should be elected annually by the board of Directors.

In accordance with the SAIF’s MOI, the total number of directors shall not at any time exceed 7, being the maximum number stipulated in SAIF’s MOI. The appointment of all directors shall be subject to the approval of the members at the SAIF’s AGM and shall only be appointed as a Director if the individual is of good standing according to the laws of South Africa, being the Companies Act. This includes verifying the individual’s background.

The appointed Directors for the 2025/26 period until the next SAIF AGM include:

Andrea Moz – CEO of Auto Industrial Group
Kevin Van Niekerk – Managing Director of Lauds Projects & Procurement (South Africa)
Ryno van Rooyen – Managing Director of Durrans RMS
Jacques Swanepoel – National Sales Manager of DZanetech
Antoine Mulaba – Emeritus Professor UJ
Terence Stopforth – Technical Director of McWade Productions
