WFO acknowledges Best Young Foundry Researchers and Early Career Professionals 2024

The foundry industry was able to meet some of the best young foundry researchers identified in USA, Finland, Japan, Spain, China, India and Germany through a competition organized by The WFO (World Foundry Organisation). The WFO announced the 2024 Best Young, Foundry Professionals as a result of the final stage of the Young Researchers Conference that took place in Germany in June 2024.

The WFO has acknowledged the Best Young Foundry Researchers and Early Career Professionals for 2024

The conference offered an opportunity to top young professionals to present innovative technical research topics in casting solutions, digital foundry, or circular economy and sustainability.

The authors acknowledged are:

1st – Yasuhiko Okimura (Japan), Assistant Professor in Waseda University
2nd – Jianyue Zhang (United States), Postdoctoral Researcher in The Ohio State University
3rd – Shrivatsav Shankar (United States), PhD Student Researcher, Material Science and Engineering Dept. in UC Irvine, Advanced Casting Research Centre

They will travel to the World Foundry Congress in Deyang, China and be introduced to the global industry through the WFO. Congratulations to these promising professionals and their universities for this great achievement.
